ABOUT ME
Welcome to my page. My name is Carl Soto. I'm an artisan born and raised in Oxnard, CA. My business began unofficially back in the late 1980s when I was commissioned in high school by fellow students to air brush their T shirts. I also painted a mural on my high school steps. After high school, I worked on my first feature film for 6 months titled, "To the Ends of Time", which gave me a plethora of movie prop and set fabrication experience.
Today, I have my own shop in Camarillo, CA and have been working mostly in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. My customers include movie production staff, school staff, local business members and private community customers.

Movies
My experience in prop and set fabrication began back in the 1990s, when I worked on my first feature film, "To the Ends of Time". We constructed props and sets without the help of computers.

Art Instruction
My teaching began back in the 2000s, when I was hired for an after school art program in the local school system. After that 1st art instruction position, other schools and libraries heard about my instruction, and I began teaching at other schools and libraries throughout Ventura County, CA.
Today, I still teach at the local schools and libraries. My art instruction includes basic drawing, T shirt design, special FX makeup and painting, mostly to pre teen and teens. If you're a local school or library, I can provide art instruction to your students after school or on the weekends. Contact me if you have an idea for an art class.
Murals and Paintings
My interest in painting and drawing started long before I was in high school, but in high school I began to get commissioned by my fellow class mates to paint murals and air brush T shirts. As time went on, I began to include this skill set into my professional life.
Today, I work on several types of promotional art projects from window painting to murals. One of my favorite things to do during different holiday seasons is to go out and paint windows. Contact me if you're in need of a window painting or mural, either at your home or place of business.
